Published Fiction

My first published piece of fiction “And Happiness Everlasting” appeared in in a Canadian anthology, “Timelines:  Stories Inspired by HG Wells’ The Time Machine,” published by Northern Frights Publishing Co.”   The story is not exactly autobiographical, but it does draw a great deal from my past.  If you read the story, these pictures will have meaning to you:

My family lived in the two houses in the background.   Behind the photographer is the Gulf of Mexico.  This was a section of Corpus Christi known as Ocean Beach.  Yes, the three girls standing are Geesy and the twins.  Vicki is in front and that’s “Charlie” on the right, aka Gerald.  The incident with the life raft and jellyfish really happened.

The picture below shows Eddie on the beach with mother behind him.  He really did go out into the gulf, quite regularly.  He wasn’t afraid of the water at all.

And I should say, again, that the story is not exactly autobiographical, although it does deal with an aspect of our family dynamic that affected all three of us as adults.
